Mike and Bev Corbin are donating this Jeff Decker full-size bronze, of Famous Racer Joe Petralli to Dale’s Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum in Maggie Valley, NC.
“Our precious piece of motorcycle art that we have had on display in our Florida facilities for over 20 years will now be enjoyed for many years to come under the passionate and loving care of the Walksler family,” said Mike Corbin of Corbin Saddles.
“Smokin'” Joe Petrali (Feb. 22, 1904 – Nov. 10, 1973) was an Italian-American motorcycle racer, active in the 1920s and 1930s. Petrali was a Class A racing champion who competed in board-track and dirt-track racing circuits, speed records, and hillclimbs. Petrali won a record 49 American Motorcyclist Association national championship races, with his last coming on Aug. 29, 1937. The record stood for 55 years until broken by Scott Parker in 1992.
