BRP has teamed up with the Road Warrior Foundation (RWF) this Veterans Day to bring its “Adventure Therapy” mission to life. Together, the organizations are giving away a custom Can-Am Spyder F3-S, along with a course from the Can-Am Rider Education Program and an all-expenses-paid spot on a future Road Warrior Ride to a deserving veteran or service member.
The nomination process is officially open.
Can-Am has been a long-time collaborator of the Road Warrior Foundation. When people think of “therapy,” they often think of couches and conversation. But Adventure Therapy is built on the premise helping individuals overcome trauma with empowering but safe activities — like cross-country touring. One group that has an undeniable thirst (and need) for Adventure Therapy is Military Veterans, who are largely adventure lovers at heart. And one organization that focuses on bringing Adventure Therapy to veterans in need is the Road Warrior Foundation (RWF), a non-profit group that takes the word “adventure” to the next level with the use of powersports vehicles.
Can-Am usually supports the RWF’s annual Road Warrior Ride, a 2,000-plus-mile trek across North America where veterans can take a step back, make lifelong friends, and relieve stress together on the road. As COVID necessitated the cancellation of this year’s ride, Can-Am opted instead to support RWF and their mission with this giveaway.
Beginning this Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11), friends and families of those who have served can submit a nomination here, explaining how a service member they know has made a difference in their lives, and why they would enjoy taking to the open road on a new vehicle. The deserving veteran will receive a black 2020 Can-Am Spyder F3-S that’s loaded with accessories including a unique single bobber seat, an awesome-sounding exhaust and auxiliary lighting to enhance visibility.
After submissions close on Nov. 25, a selection will be uploaded to the Can-Am and Road Warrior Foundation social media channels for the public to vote starting Nov. 30. The winner will be announced on Dec. 4 and receive their custom Can-Am Spyder by the holidays.
