This new offering enables payroll, tax and human resources professionals to identify local tax information for new or transferred employees, saving companies valuable time and assists with minimizing penalties and interests for inaccurate tax payments.
When employers add new or transferred employees from the United States or one of its territories to their payroll systems, they can spend considerable time researching and identifying the appropriate local tax jurisdiction names and rates for each individual. With the ADP Tax Locator, accessible on ADP’s tax website for clients, an employer simply needs to enter an employee’s home and work addresses, and the new locator assists in identifying all relevant local tax codes, ADP codes, jurisdiction names and collector names within seconds. The ADP Tax Locator’s four tabs make it easy for users to look up the appropriate tax information and keep a history of past addresses for each employee.
The ADP Tax Locator is well-suited for businesses with locations across multiple states and municipalities. ADP recently completed a 20-company pilot program for its new offering.
