Mecum To Auction Norley Cafe Racer For Charity at Spring Event

Mecum Auctions will offer a 2011 Norley Caf

Mecum Auctions will offer a 2011 Norley Café Racer Motorcycle (Lot S120.1) at no reserve on Saturday, May 21, during the Original Spring Classic Auction at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind.

To create this Norley, Santiago Choppers’ owner Alan Bernard built a motorcycle with a 1,200cc Harley Sportster engine installed in a Norton frame using the Café Racer style bodywork and accessories. The Norley has 16-inch wheels, a Norton Manx style seat. CR Racing Carburetor, two into one SuperTrapp performance exhaust, Brembo brakes and Beringer hand controls. And it weighs less than 380 lbs.  

Proceeds from the motorcycle sale will go to Curing Kids Cancer, a non-profit organization founded by Grainne and Clay Owen a year after losing their son Killian to leukemia. Curing Kids Cancer focuses on funding the best cutting edge research treatments available for pediatric cancer. For more information, visit www.curingkidscancer.org.
     
Mecum will sell the bike during a live broadcast of its popular television series on Discovery Communications’ HD Theater. During the Kissimmee Auction in January, Mecum raised $45,000 for Curing Kids Cancer by selling another custom Café Racer motorcycle.
