Leave it to Continental Tires to address the economic woe with a quality tire aimed at the budget-conscious consumer. Meet the new Radial ContiMotion tires. They are constructed with newly formulated polymers, a redesigned force-direction tread pattern that is said to increase mileage with excellent water drainage and a zero-degree steel belt that insures immense stability and road feel, for which Conti tires are famous.
The first three days of riding on these new skins was during some wet and dreary weather, and they handled exceptionally well. The ContiMotions were totally predictable on surfaces completely covered with water as well as dry pavement (what little I was able to find). I know the tread design works for wet and dry, now we’ll see how the mileage piles on. Sadly, my Tiger is in hibernation until spring, so I’ll have to pace around my garage waiting to ride again to see how many miles I can rack up and, after evaluating the Road Attacks earlier this year, I can tell you that if they are anything close to the Attacks, this will be the bargain of the year. My recommendation would be to stock a few sets of these budget-priced, quality tires. Your customer will think you’re the best thing since the invention of the motorcycle.
