Zapp Celebrates Success at E-Mobility Awards

Zapp has received three category awards and an award of merit at the prestigious E-Mobility Awards

Zapp Electric Vehicles Limited, a U.K.-based high-performance two-wheel electric vehicle company, has received multiple awards at this year’s prestigious E-Mobility Awards, which celebrates ingenuity, innovation and achievement across the e-mobility sector.

The awards’ independent judging panel named Zapp as overall winner of the “New Emobility/EV marque launch,” “Emobility/EV engineering” and “Recycling innovation and sustainability initiatives” categories. In addition, it presented Zapp with an award of merit in the “E-motorcycle and e-bike” category for the i300, a high-performance urban electric high-performance two-wheeler that breaks new ground in both design and technology.

Jeremy North, President of Zapp, said, “It is an honor to be recognized by the E-Mobility Awards. We committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s thought possible when it comes to design, technology and sustainability, and the i300 represents something unique and innovative for the urban mobility market.”

Zapp is a British company on a mission to redefine the electric two-wheeler segment. Zapp created the i300 as an urban electric high-performance two-wheeler capable of traditional motorcycle levels of performance in a step-through format, combining ease of use with exhilaration and fun.

To achieve this, Zapp’s design team created a unique and innovative ‘Z’-shaped exoskeleton architecture. This distinctive design lowers the i300’s weight and center of gravity to maximize battery range and on-road performance, helping the i300 achieve a 0 to 30 mph acceleration in just 2.3 seconds.

Another key innovation of the i300 is its ultra-portable double battery system. Each battery pack weighs only 6 kilograms and can be charged from 20% to 80% via standard 220-volt/110-colt wall sockets in approximately 40 minutes. The portability of the battery packs makes the i300 easy to charge anywhere and at any time without reliance on a public charging network.

Zapp is committed to Gen-2 sustainable design and production, and the i300 exemplifies Zapp’s mission to create truly sustainable products. Not only are most of the i300’s components recyclable, but its exoskeleton architecture lowers the number of components required for assembly, in turn reducing assembly steps and energy used.
