Currently, Energica is the sole supplier of the electric motorcycles for the MotoE World Cup. Its 4-year contract ends in 2022. The manufacturer of high-performance electric motorcycles recently announced it will not renew its partnership with Dorna Sports.
As such, Ducati announced it will begin making electric race bikes for MotoE World Cup starting in 2023. The Italian brand will become the official and sole supplier of race motorcycles for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, which is the electric class of the MotoGP World Championship.
As per the agreement, Ducati will provide electric race bikes for MotoE World Cup until 2026, which will cover four seasons of the championship.
Energica’s Ego Corsa race bike has been what all the teams in the MotoE World Cup have used. It is based on the street-legal Energica Ego high-performance electric motorcycle.
