MV Agusta Unveils its Brutale 1000RR Nurburgring Special Edition

MV Agusta has unveiled a modified version of its hypernaked Brutale called the Nurburgring after the German track.

MV Agusta has unveiled a modified version of its hypernaked Brutale. Called the Nurburgring after the German track, MV Agusta’s latest bike is essentially a Brutale 1000RR with carbon fiber. Similar to the standard 1000RR, the Nurburgring offers 205bhp @ 13,000rpm and 85 ft.-lbs. of torque, which is plenty of power.

For this special edition, MV made sure the bike lost weight, which is why everything that could be carbon fiber is – including the airbox, wiring cover, clutch cover, and air intakes. Even the spoiler over the top of the headlight is carbon fiber.

The biggest change is the BST carbon fiber wheels, which MV Agusta developed in collaboration with BST to improve acceleration, handling and stopping. The carbon fiber touches reduce weight over a standard 1000RR by nearly 6 1/2 lbs. for a touch over 400-lb. dry weight.

The rest of the MV Agusta Nurburgring is top notch too, including Ohlins electronic suspension and steering damper, plus Brembo Stylema calipers. MV also offers a ‘racing kit’ in addition, which highlights a 4-2-1 titanium Arrow exhaust to further reduce weight. A race ECU also unlocks a few extra HP, boosting peak power to 213bhp @ 13,200rpm.

The Nurburgring comes painted with red highlights over a silver base. MV are producing just 150 of these special edition bikes.
