Garage-Girls and GEICO Motorcycle have announced this years Ultimate Biker Makeover winner; Leah Misch from LaCrosse, WI. Leah was selected among over 63 entries to this years contest from the story and photo she submitted.

Contestants (Girls and Guys) were asked to submit a 600 words or less essay – describing why they are most in need of a biker makeover as well as a photo. Deadline for entries was July 9, 2016. Submissions were narrowed down to the final four by selected judges from Garage-Girls. From there, the judges had to make the tough decision of who they felt most deserved the Ultimate Biker Makeover. Leah will get to take home all the prizes which include; A wardrobe of shoes from Harley-Davidson Footwear, a case of full synthetic oil from Spectro Oils, A new Mustang Motorcycle Seat, a set of tires from AVON Tyres, Motorcycle Helmet, Jacket and Gloves by J&P Cycles, clothing by Hinjinx Apparel, gear from Baker Drivetrain, Vance & Hines Exhaust, S&S Cycle, Klock Werks and more.

Leah Misch; an American Red Cross Volunteer, sent in her story of overcoming many obstacles while traveling cross country solo on her motorcycle. We all know challenges are difficult when you have traveling companions, but they are that much more difficult when traveling solo.

“The roads took me from coast to coast through high winds, forest fires, hail, tornados, and many thunderstorms. In the 17,000 miles I turned this past year; I literally wore holes through my riding gear. My worn out gear is unfashionable and unsafe which is exactly why I need a biker makeover, especially after the events on Lookout Mountain.” Leah wrote. She goes on to tell of how she learned first hand the importance of proper riding gear and how imperative it is to keeping you not only on the road, but more importantly safe. Leah’s story can been seen on line at www.garage-girls.com.
