Malcolm Smith Racing Hard Parts Collection’s tiedowns are available in a total of four different types, including both standard and ratcheting versions, the tiedowns even come in a range of colors.
The standard 1” style is up to snuff for most dirtbikes as the nylon webbing is rated at 4,500 lbs. but for those vintage racers campaigning old Triumph desert sleds, there is the 1.5″ top-of-the-line tiedown. Constructed with 1.5” nylon webbing (hence the name), they are rated to 5,500 lbs. and the hooks handle 1,500 lbs.
In addition to tiedowns, Malcolm Smith Racing also offers a fork support to keep bikes securely strapped down without sacking out the fork springs or damaging the seals. The support keeps the tension on the straps to stabilize the bike during transportation (standard fork support fits all bikes with 11” or more of travel and a mini version is also available).
Features include:
· Heavy-duty non-slip cam lock tiedowns with soft hooks
· Carabiner style base hooks rated at 2,200 lbs.
· 1” x 84” nylon webbing rated at 4,500 lbs./1.5” x 84” rated to 5,500 lbs.
· White labeling area for easy personalizing
· Maximum load rating (straight tension strength): 1,500 lbs. (680Kg)
The 1.5″ comes in a choice of black, blue, red, green, yellow and orange.
