Simpson Performance Products, Inc. has announced the formation of a Motorcycle Helmet Safety Unit. Building on its 57-year history of providing racing safety products to racers around the world, these latest growth initiatives will provide improved customer support for Simpson’s growing motorcycle dealer network and motorcycle riders.

Simpson has added top level management to drive strategic growth and strengthen the growing motorcycle consumer base and dealer network. Shane Creswell will lead Simpson’s motorcycle helmet efforts and has been promoted to vice president of motorcycle products. Creswell began his racing safety career with Simpson as a helmet engineer in 2008. Working with a cross functional group, Creswell and his team were able to triple sales of motorcycle helmets to a level that supports a separate business unit to continue the growth.

In 2016, Scott Holbrooks joined the Simpson team as product and brand director, motorcycle products. Holbrooks has 28 years of motorcycle industry experience, formerly with Iron Pony, Tucker Rocky, Motorcycle Stuff and Fulmer Helmets. He has worked extensively in purchasing, product development and branding.

“These organizational changes will drive necessary focus, further enabling us to meet customer and dealer needs for this important growth segment of our business. I am excited about Shane and Scott’s ability to continue the rapid growth of our motorcycle business and further our mission of keeping motorcycle riders and racers safer” said Chuck Davies, Simpson’s CEO.
