Cobra Moto Kids, Led by Janik, Adams & Garroutte, Earn 50cc Titles at Thor Mini Os

The last big amateur outdoor national of the 2015 competition season again had a decided Cobra Moto flare to it as the heralded American-made competition mini cycle factory nailed multiple titles and podium finishes in the 50cc MX and SX classes.

The last big amateur outdoor national of the 2015 competition season again had a decided Cobra Moto flare to it as the heralded American-made competition mini cycle factory nailed multiple titles and podium finishes in the 50cc MX and SX classes, continuing Cobra Moto’s 25-year tradition of homegrown excellence at the prestigious Thor Winter Olympics at Gatorback MX Park.

Leading the charge for Cobra Moto at the Mini Os were Illinois’ Krystian Janik, who won the 7-8 51cc MX title, and California’s Sam Garroutte and Tennessee’s Drew Adams, who captured 4-6 51cc class championships in the MX and SX divisions, respectively.

“Can’t say enough for the effort put forth by all the Cobra Moto kids at the Mini Os this past week,” said Cobra Moto President Sean Hilbert. “We came into the Mini Os this year with a young squad and left with a number of titles and podium finishes. So all signs point to even bigger and better things for Cobra Moto in 2016.”

In addition to the aforementioned racers capturing titles, longtime Cobra Moto Elite Team racer Casey Cochran (Georgia) had a solid weekend, scoring podium finishes in both the 7-8 51cc MX and SX classes while battling Janik all weekend in the 7-9 65cc classes. And both Cochran and Janik have another year in the 7-9 65cc class!

Another up-and-coming Cobra Moto racer, Illinois’ Mikah Carpenter (Cobra Moto/Allegan Motorsports) would secure – as a five-year-old – a podium finish in the 4-6 51cc MX class, joining Cobra Moto’s Canyon Richards (New Jersey) and Garroutte on the podium. And rounding out the hard work on the weeklong competition was Cobra Moto’s Brayden Calderon (Florida), who put in a couple impressive top five performances in both the 4-8 51cc MX and SX classes.
