More than a decade ago, Joe Rocket introduced the first armored mesh jacket. Six generations later, the evolution continues with the Phoenix ION.
At the core of the Phoenix is a large gauge, U.V. resistant, FreeAir mesh chassis that provides cooling comfort in even the most extreme heat. Extending your riding season to the opposite end of the climate spectrum, the Phoenix also includes a reengineered two-stage protection system consisting of a removable waterproof liner and removable insulated warmth liner.
Backing all this environmental protection is a multi-layered impact protection system that starts with abrasion resistant Dynax panels at the shoulders, forearms, obliques, and back, plus an added layer of high-tenacity nylon at the elbows. Behind this external protection is C.E. certified armor at the shoulders and elbows combined with a removable, high density, articulated spine pad.
Complimenting both the environmental protection and impact protection is the Phoenix’s extreme nighttime reflectivity. In addition to the 360° of reflective piping, reflectivity is amplified by an ultra-reflective Innolite weave integrated into the shoulders.
Keeping all this in place is an eight-point Surefit custom adjustment system with adjusters at the; biceps, forearms, wrists, and waist while integrated FullFlex expansion panels at the lats help dramatically increase rider mobility.
Final ride-specific detailing includes; a micro fiber lined mandarin collar, four outer pockets including a large padded cargo pocket and audio-ready pocket, an internal micro-fiber lined eyeglass pocket, key clip, extended back, and an 8” zipper plus belt loops for jacket to pant attachment.
