In an announcement, the publication Trade Show Executive revealed that the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has earned a place amongst the “Fastest 50 Class of 2014” which recognizes the most dynamic and fastest-growing trade shows in North America. Additionally, AIMExpo was one of just 16 shows to earn a ranking in each of the measured categories of “Fastest 50” – Net Square Feet of Exhibit Space (NSF), Number of Exhibiting Companies and Total Attendance – which are considered to be the key growth indicators of the trade show industry.

AIMExpo enjoyed tremendous growth across the board in its second year, growing 32 percent in NSF thanks to the investment of 501 exhibitors, a growth of 28 percent. The larger footprint and the addition of marquee debuts from globally renowned brands like Ducati, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki also resulted in significant growth in trade attendance which totaled 7,022, including dealers and industry professionals, providing 27 percent growth.

“To be recognized as part of the ‘Fastest 50’ is not only a tremendous honor, but also a huge complement to our efforts to make AIMExpo deliver on its promise to bring the motorcycle industry the multi-faceted, business-driven event it desperately needed,” said Mike Webster, President, Trade Show Division, Marketplace Events. “We did our diligence by investing a couple of years researching the industry’s needs and then assembled a dream team of motorcycle enthusiasts who are also enthusiasts of the business of motorcycling. Our strategic three-tiered approach that includes trade, consumers and media in one robust platform has helped AIMExpo grow into the premier powersports show and one of the country’s fastest growing trade shows of any industry in just two years. A driving goal to always deliver impeccable customer service has also been a key element in our tremendous growth. We’ll continue to build with these same goals as our foundation with an eye toward being a part of the ‘Fastest 50’ for years to come.”

Trade Show Executive is a monthly publication focused on providing news, views and tools for trade show and event executives from a wide range of industries. All shows included as part of the “Fastest 50 Class of 2014” will be honored at the annual Fastest 50 Awards & Summit, May 19-21 in Chicago.
