American Motorcyclist Association Members Receive Exclusive Benefits From MYLAPS Sports Timing

American Motorcyclist Association members, clubs and promoters can now take advantage of exclusive money-saving benefits from leading timing-and-scoring company, MYLAPS Sports Timing.
“Few technologies have contributed as much to the competition experience as automatic timing and instantaneous results reporting,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer, Jeff Massey. “For decades, MYLAPS has been a pioneer in this field, developing new ways to track racers and report results better. For clubs and promoters who score their races electronically, and for racers who compete in these events, this benefit will save them considerable money.”
MYLAPS Sales Manager, Americas, Bernd Pluimers said that partnering with the AMA serves the company’s long-term goals.
“AMA members, clubs and promoters are unified in the belief that competition should be about fun, safety and excitement — not paperwork, stopwatches and results reconciliation,” Pluimers said. “MYLAPS is dedicated to providing automatic timing solutions that are more reliable, more robust and easier to use than ever before to help take the hassle out of results management. We’re pleased to provide these savings to AMA members and organizers so the convenience of this technology is more accessible.”
AMA members receive a 20 percent discount on MYLAPS transponders and service subscriptions purchased online at www.mylaps.com. The code for activating the discount can be found in the Members Only area of www.americanmotorcyclist.com.
AMA-chartered clubs and promoters can purchase MYLAPS timing-and-scoring packages, which include decoders, transponders and software, at a 30 percent discount. Individual products can be purchased at up to a 25 percent discount. AMA-chartered clubs and promoters also are eligible to receive one free copy of MYLAPS Trackside software, or a free upgrade if they already have the software. To access these savings, clubs and promoters must call MYLAPS North and South America at (678) 816-4000 and provide their AMA charter number.
In addition, MYLAPS has joined the AMA as an AMA business member, becoming one of 20 new business members that have joined the association since 2013.
