“We are very excited to report that 2016 was MotoQuest’s most successful year yet,” commented MotoQuest Managing Partner Kevin Hagerty. “As our business has grown we have taken steps to reinvest in all areas, always with the end goal of providing a better experience for our customers. We have upgraded our facilities, upgraded our motorcycle fleet, and have added staff in order to continue delivering excellent customer service.”

2016 marked MotoQuest’s most robust tour offerings to date, with dozens of guided motorcycle adventures scheduled throughout not just Alaska and the western United States, but also South America, Europe, Asia and South Africa. In addition to the publicly offered motorcycle tours, 2016 has been a busy year for private groups who build their own custom MotoQuest adventures.

Looking ahead, MotoQuest will continue to expand its reach by running two Scouting Trips in 2017. The first will take riders through the biodiverse landscape of Ecuador in February, while the second will revolve around the Motul Grand Prix of Japan in October. “Scouting Trips are guided motorcycle rides in countries or regions new to MotoQuest,” said MotoQuest Founder Phil Freeman. “These trips help us make final decisions on routes, lodging, side activities and other amenities offered on our tours, and our riders have as much fun as we do exploring these new places.”

In addition to expanded tour offerings, MotoQuest has undergone facility upgrades by moving both its Portland and San Francisco locations. The MotoQuest Portland facility is now just four miles away from the Portland Airport, and MotoQuest offers free pickup and dropoff for its tour and rental customers during business hours. The San Francisco facility now resides on Treasure Island, located between the cities of San Francisco and Oakland in the San Francisco Bay. The new facilities offer more than convenience; they also offer an upgraded MotoQuest fleet with new BMW touring and GS models, Suzuki V-Strom Adventures, Honda Africa Twins and more.

The Los Angeles area facility located in Long Beach, CA has now become the hub for all things Baja. MotoQuest offers guided motorcycle tours between its Long Beach facility and the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, and riders are given peace of mind as MotoQuest handles details such as motorcycle insurance and roadside assistance so participants can focus on enjoying the ride. More adventurous riders may rent fully insured bikes from MotoQuest Long Beach and ride into Baja to explore the desert and beaches on their own.

MotoQuest is also the recognized motorcycle adventure authority in the state of Alaska, and its Anchorage facility will once again serve as center of operations between May and September of 2017. Motorcyclists from around the world gather to embark on one of eight different guided adventures, while private groups will explore the state on custom built adventures. Others will arrive with plans of making their own adventure, utilizing the largest and most diverse rental fleet in the state.

“Our motto is ‘Small Groups, Big Adventures,’ and we practice that philosophy in everything we do,” said MotoQuest General Manager Brenden Anders. “Whether it’s with our tour or rental services, or by engaging the motorcycle community at events and dealerships across the country, MotoQuest is all about creating unique and unforgettable experiences for motorcyclists.”
