Utilizing Held’s unique 2-in-1 technology, the AeroSec jacket and pants will offer riders two chambers to suit a wide variety of riding conditions. One chamber is entirely waterproof and insulated, making it suitable for cold and wet weather. The second chamber is ventilated and breathable, making it ideal for warmer weather.
Held’s AeroSec jacket and pants enable riders to prepare for the unexpected, no matter how long the ride. While many riding jackets and pants are accompanied by separate waterproof liners that can be worn over or under the main garment, Held’s AeroSec jacket and pants come equipped with these liners built in to the garments themselves.
When the AeroSec jacket is in warm weather mode, the waterproof liner remains zipped up and affixed to the inside of the jacket. When the rider wants to wear it in this mode, he or she simply puts the jacket on with the waterproof liner remaining tucked away between the rider’s back and the jacket. This allows the AeroSec’s ventilation to flow air to the rider’s arm and torso.
When the jacket is in weatherproof mode, the liner is unzipped and snapped into place around the edges of the jacket. The rider then puts his or her arms into the deployed waterproof layer that is now lining the jacket. This protects the rider from cold and wet conditions.
The pants work in a similar fashion. The waterproof liner remains tucked away at the rear of the AeroSec pants, allowing the rider to get some ventilation. In this mode, the rider is essentially sitting on the liner. For inclement weather, the rider will then deploy the liner and fasten it around the perimeter of the pants, creating the weatherproof chamber.
