Dunlop Relocates Select Company Positions to Akron, Ohio

Effective Jan. 1, 2013, select business functions of the company will relocate from Buffalo, N.Y., to the Akron, Ohio, headquarters of Goodyear. These will include non-field-based sales positions, marketing, customer service, supply chain and non-plant-related human resources.

Harley-Davidson Raises Awareness of Disabled American Veterans Through ‘Harley’s Heroes’ Program

For the fourth straight year, Harley-Davidson continues its tradition of honoring United States military veterans throughout the month of November. This year, the company is raising awareness through a national video campaign spotlighting two veterans who have benefited from the program. Harley’s Heroes brings DAV mobile service offices to Harley-Davidson dealerships throughout the country more than 200 days out of the year, bringing services directly to where veterans live.

Harley-Davidson Issues Motorcycle Recall

The recall applies to all 2012 VRSCDX motorcycles and some 2013 models to repair a potential problem with the license plate bracket. Approximately 2,798 vehicles will be recalled. The company will begin notifying owners Nov. 5, and dealers are asked to inspect and repair any affected bikes free of charge.

Pediatrician Group Calls for Mandatory Training for Young ATV Riders

A new study shows that OEM warning labels deterring riders under the age of 16 are not enough to reduce the risk of injury. The study finds that less than 35 percent of children involved in ATV crashes wear helmets, and nearly 60 percent are riding again within six months.
