FIN GPS Assists Dealer in Fraudulent Case, Recovers 2022 Can-Am Ryker

FIN GPS Assists Dealer in Fraudulent Case, Recovers 2022 Can-Am Ryker

What could have been a huge loss for the dealer and victim of identity theft instead became a return of property.

FIN protects thousands of powersports customers — as well as their dealers — from theft.

Every summer, FIN GPS sees an uptick in thefts. Identity theft and fraudulent deals are also an issue for the dealerships who sell the toys loved by so many. Recently, a seemingly normal sale turned criminal when a FIN GPS dealer was notified by local authorities that it had a victim of identity theft. This victim noticed a 2022 Can-Am Ryker purchase was made in their name.

Luckily for all involved, this Ryker was equipped with a FIN GPS Tracking System. FIN GPS assisted the dealership in tracking the Ryker and recovered it with the aid of police. What could have been a huge loss for the dealer and victim of identity theft instead became a return of property. Thanks to FIN GPS, the theft was brought to a quick and safe ending. The case is still being investigated.
