Joan Krenning, founder and CEO of DesignWraps Brands, is heading across the United States on a 36-month motorcycle freedom tour of America starting in April at Arizona Bike Week. The goal of her ride is to promote all American-made products.
Krenning’s ride across America, called the “Glory USA Freedom Ride”, will also raise funds for two charities: the “Wounded Warrior Project” and Laura Klock’s “Helping with Horsepower." Joan has set her sights high and expects to ride 60,000 miles in 2013, stopping at more than 200 Harley-Davidson dealerships along the way. By the end of her three-year journey, she will have hit every Harley dealer in the U.S. and will have traveled more than 200,000 miles.
Krenning will be riding a 2013 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, appropriately named “The Freedom Glide,” wrapped with graphics designed by Red Phoenix Marketing. Part of the bike’s paint scheme includes text from the Bill of Rights. This custom Street Glide is decked out with custom, American-made aftermarket parts provided by her sponsors, including Klock Werks, Ride Wright Wheels, J&P Cycles, Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale, Yaffe’s Bagger Nation, MGS Custom Bikes, Danny Gray Seats, Roaring Toyz, Wire Plus Electronics and Saddleman.
Krenning’s passion and love for giving back has been the vision for her newly formed Wraps of Hope Foundation, which raises awareness for cancer patients. She plans to raise money and support for the believe.helping.hands movement, the believe.in.freedom movement and the believe.off.the.streets movement, which are all part of the Wraps of Hope Foundation.
“A small portion of every product sold by DesignWraps Brands will go directly into the Wraps of Hope Foundation bank account," she said. "This guarantees that the money raised by the Freedom Ride will be donated directly to the charities."
Krenning has already been invited to make special appearances at several Harley-Davidson dealers to appear at their open houses, meet with the local HOG chapters and give seminars about her ride. To stay up to date on her journey, visit www.ladyroaddog.com.
