Women Riders Now Expands Leadership Board with 3 Key Influencers

Three powerful and prominent women in the motorcycling industry, Porsche Taylor, Alisa Clickenger and Robyn Kocienski, are the newly appointed members of the Women Riders Now Leadership Board.

Three powerful and prominent women in the motorcycling industry, Porsche Taylor, Alisa Clickenger and Robyn Kocienski, are the newly appointed members of the Women Riders Now (WRN) Leadership Board.

According to co-chairwomen Erin Sills and Sarah Schilke, the WRN Leadership Board will help guide the strategic direction of WomenRidersNow.com, the leading resource for women and motorcycling, as it carries forth the legacy established by founder Genevieve Schmitt in 1999.

“As the number of women riding motorcycles is at an all time high with 19 percent of the riding population being female, we are excited to welcome these highly respected icons and activists of women’s motorcycling to the WRN Leadership Board,” Sills said. “Their enthusiasm and influence will greatly enhance our outreach and awareness goals for WRN to enable more women to learn about and experience the exhilarating benefits of motorcycling.”

Taylor is the founder of the groundbreaking Black Girls Ride magazine, an online publication serving the underserved market of African-American riders. She is also an “Iron Butt” rider (one who rides long distances over a short amount of time), and is a highly visible fixture on the women and motorcycling scene with her unique social media and event outreach initiatives like the Beautiful Bikers Conference, now in its sixth year.

Clickenger left the corporate world more than a decade ago to follow her dream of riding a motorcycle for a living. In the years since, she’s established herself as a respected motorcycle journalist and tour leader. In addition to owning a motorcycle tour company for women, she is asked to lead tours all over the world. She most recently added “author” to her name writing a book about increasing confidence through motorcycle riding. Clickenger is also known for organizing commemorative cross country riding events such as the Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride, in 2016, which garnered national media attention, and the Suffragists Centennial Motorcycle Ride coming in 2020.

Kocienski is a motorcycle tour guide with Motoquest Tours, a highly respected 21-year-old international motorcycle tour company, where she leads women-only tours as well as routes for all riders. Kocienski’s passion to make a difference has led her to be active in legislative pursuits benefitting the motorcycling community throughout the U.S. As a newer rider, Kocienski brings the perspective of beginning rider to the WRN Board, which is a strong focus of WRN’s overall mission.
