Premium Guard CEO Anan Bishara on Best-in-Class Solutions

Premium Guard CEO Anan Bishara on Best-in-Class Solutions

Bishara discusses how Premium Guard is using the acquisition of First Brands' assets to expand its portfolio, revitalize iconic brands and deliver greater value through a broader, multi-category offering.

This episode of DriveTime features Anan Bishara, founder & CEO, Premium Guard, Inc.

Following Premium Guard’s acquisition of key intellectual property and related assets from First Brands Group, Bishara said the company’s strategy for revitalizing legacy brands—including Autolite, FRAM, TRICO, ANCO, LuberFiner and StrongArm—was built around three priorities: people, intellectual property and physical assets. He said PGI began recruiting key engineering, sales and product management talent months before the acquisition closed, ensuring the company had the expertise in place to successfully integrate and grow the brands. The acquisition also included more than 1,700 patents covering filtration, wiper blade technology and other innovations, giving PGI a stronger technology foundation.

Bishara said the acquisition also strengthens Premium Guard‘s manufacturing, supply chain and research capabilities through U.S.-based production facilities, distribution centers and an advanced R&D center. He noted that the added domestic manufacturing capacity improves supply chain security while expanding the company’s ability to develop new technologies and support long-term growth. Combined with PGI’s existing global operations, the new infrastructure positions the company to bring greater value to customers across multiple product categories.

According to Bishara, integrating the First Brands assets enhances Premium Guard’s existing portfolio. He said the company’s long-term focus remains on delivering comprehensive private label solutions that combine engineering, product performance, quality control, category management and supply chain expertise.

The addition of the legacy brands, manufacturing capabilities and intellectual property broadens PGI’s technology platform, enabling it to offer customers a more complete multi-category solution while preserving the strength and heritage of the Autolite, FRAM, TRICO, ANCO, LuberFiner and StrongArm brands. He added that the market ultimately will determine the role of branded products alongside private label offerings, allowing PGI to serve a broader range of customer needs.
