The National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) celebrates its fourth anniversary this May. NPDA marks four years of empowering powersports dealers and advancing the industry as a national powersports dealer network. Dealership owners founded NPDA in 2021. NPDA has become the unified voice for independent and franchised dealers nationwide. It tirelessly supports their success, sustainability and industry influence.
Founding dealership owners and advisory board members joined many video calls. They later met in Texas at a property owned by Copart Inc. Copart, Inc. is the parent company of National Powersport Auctions. After years of preparation, NPDA obtained 501(c)(6) non-profit status in May 2021.
Dealer Membership and Nationwide Support
NPDA includes Dealer Members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. More than two dozen partners actively support NPDA’s PURE mission. PURE stands for Promote, Unite, Represent and Educate all dealerships. NPDA represents single-store, single-brand operations and multi-line, multi-store businesses. Dealerships range from on-road motorcycles to snowmobiles to pre-owned-only locations. All dealership members must sell either new or used vehicles.
NPDA believes dealers deserve strong, centralized representation. It has expanded membership and industry impact rapidly. In 2024 and 2025, NPDA achieved initiatives reflecting its mission. The mission is to drive excellence and profitability in the powersports dealer network.
Key Accomplishments Over the Past Year
- Dealer Connect Launch Marks Milestone: In 2025, NPDA launched Dealer Connect. This initiative fosters a more connected, informed and empowered powersports dealer network. The event occurred at the Sonesta Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. NPDA dealer members and partners collaborated, shared insights and grew their businesses.
- EDGE Educational Platform Goes Live: NPDA introduced EDGE, a comprehensive online training platform. It offers professional development, sales strategies, F&I education and compliance resources. The content targets dealers and their staff. It supports Education, Development, Growth and Excellence.
- Harley-Davidson Council Drives Advocacy: NPDA’s Harley-Davidson Council gained worldwide recognition. It advocated sustainable profitability for NPDA’s Harley-Davidson dealer members.
- NPDA Expands Member Services: NPDA launched exclusive vendor partnerships and real-time benchmarking tools. Members access these tools through EDGE webinars. NPDA delivers real business value to members.
- NPDA Membership Surges Nationwide: Dealer membership has grown over 40% since early 2024. This shows strong support and recognition of NPDA’s value. NPDA launched communication vehicles like Holeshot, Connections and Fast Tracks. These channels increased awareness among current and future Dealer Members.
- NPDA Launches TV Channel: NPDA Members launched Powersports World TV in 2024. This digital channel helps build industry ridership.
