Ash Kane spent 12 years in international sales for Fox, during which point he helped grow the company nearly seven-fold from 1996 to 1997. He will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Bell’s EMEA distributors and related sales forces, while simultaneously working to develop new distribution channels.

The recall (NHTSA campaign 13E025000) applies to Harley-Davidson Hybrid Ultra-Light Classic Cruiser Half Helmets in sizes large, XL and 2XL that were manufactured in March 2011. It potentially affects 456 helmets.

LeoVince USA to Distribute Airoh Helmets

The Aviator 2.1 DOT line of off-road helmets will be the first Airoh model available from LeoVince USA, followed by additional styles in the coming months. Airoh joins a growing list of manufacturers now distributed by LeoVince USA, including Dion Device brake lever guards, GPR stabilizers, BMC air filters and Bridgestone racing tires.

Vega Issues Safety Recall on XTS Half Helmets

The helmet manufacturer has initiated a voluntary recall of helmets in sizes large through XXL made between May 2011 and October 2012. The company has been working closely with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after four of these helmets in the XL size were found not to comply with one of the performance requirements set forth in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218.

Tucker Rocky and Scorpion Helmets Part Ways

Steve Johnson, president and COO of Tucker Rocky and Biker’s Choice, has announced that, after a successful sales relationship with Scorpion Helmets, Kido Sports has decided to discontinue selling Scorpion-branded helmets through multiple distribution channels and return to a strategy of direct sales through Scorpion Sports Inc. (SSI), the brand’s U.S. headquarters and sales office.

Bell Helmets Adds Flat Tracker Mees to Rider Roster
