The American Motorcyclist Association has announced the recipients of its 2015 AMA Awards. The six motorcyclists selected by the AMA Board of Directors have made outstanding contributions to the motorcycling community and their efforts support the AMA mission to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling.

California Motorcyclist Wins Yamaha Super Ténéré in AMA Membership Sweepstakes 

When Bob J. Loguidice of Ramona, Calif., renewed his American Motorcyclist Association membership last February, it earned him the status of AMA Life Member and qualified him for the 2014 American Motorcyclist Association membership sweepstakes. Intended to represent the needs and interests of new dealer members, the council was implemented with the MIC’s decision to include dealers in its membership for the first time since 1974.

Motorcycle Industry Council Adds Two Members to Dealer Advisory Council

Jerry Lenz, general manager of Beaverton Motorcycles in Tigard, Ore., and Rick Rizzon, owner of Rizzon Cycle in Middlesex, N.J,, are the newest additions to what will eventually be an eight-member advisory council to MIC’s new dealership member class. Thus far, 252 dealers in 41 states, representing 176 out of 436 congressional districts, have joined the MIC.

Bob Althoff, owner of A.D. Farrow Co. in Columbus, Ohio, and Sandy Stroope, owner of Boat World Honda Polaris in Harrison, Ark., are the inaugural members of what will be an eight-member council. The council will advise the board and aftermarket committee, while the board will direct dealer/retailer dues revenue to market expansion, training and education, public policy and government relations activities.

Having recently expanded its membership to include powersports dealers and retailers, the Motorcycle Industry Council is now proactively reaching out to them regarding the new membership class and its significant benefits. So far, the MIC has signed up more than 150 dealer/retailer locations representing congressional districts in 38 states.
