Find It Now (FIN) GPS Security has announced the recovery of a 2023 Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle.

Early one morning, a FIN GPS Security customer received an alert to his cell phone, indicating that there was motion to his Yamaha YZF-R1. He immediately went to the parking garage where his motorcycle was kept to find that it had been stolen. He contacted FIN GPS Security’s theft recovery team, followed by local police. The customer also contacted the management at his apartment complex, who shared security camera footage that showed two thieves tampering with his Yamaha and taking off with it seconds later. 

The thieves quickly made their way from Virginia to Maryland. The FIN theft recovery team and Maryland authorities worked together to get his motorcycle recovered, which was reporting on an isolated trail in a heavily wooded area. FIN’s theft recovery team provided a precise location to Maryland authorities, and they were able to recover the bike without further incident. Had it not been for the FIN and Maryland authorities, the owner of the Yamaha R1 may not have been able to recover his bike.
