Acquisition of Performance 1 Coatings provides a one-stop-shop for ceramic coatings, from aesthetic-protection to premium thermal barrier coatings.

Motorcycle exhaust coating and thermal management specialist, Performance 1 Coatings (P1C), has been acquired by Zircotec Group. The takeover, which includes 100% of the P1C business, widens the breadth of Zircotec Group’s product range, which now includes high performance coatings at every price point. The buyout will enable P1C and its motorcycle aftermarket customers to benefit from future product enhancement made possible by Zircotec’s technology, OE-expertise and extensive in-house R&D facilities.

Zircotec Group’s expansion also includes the restructuring of its Fast Fox brand, which will be brought in-house. It provides a one-stop-shop online retail solution for thermal management requirements. Aimed at motorcycle and car enthusiasts seeking market-leading heat management products for a complete range of applications.

“The inclusion of P1C into the Zircotec Group portfolio is a welcome addition to our growing business – P1C’s visually stunning range of Polymer Ceramic coatings are the perfect complement to our Plasma-Sprayed Ceramic range, which provide an unrivalled thermal barrier,” says Zircotec group managing director, Terry Graham. “Motorcycle enthusiasts will now have access to a complete range of ceramic coatings, from entry-level products that provide aesthetic enhancement and some heat protection, to highly durable plasma-sprayed coatings designed for optimal thermal management performance in the most extreme conditions.”

Zircotec Group is an OE supplier to companies including prestigious vehicle and motorcycle manufacturers. Its market-leading thermal barrier ceramic coating is applied by plasma torch, which fires the patented compound at 10,000 C and twice the speed of sound. The unique process ensures optimal coverage, durability and advanced thermal management in even the most demanding environments.

“P1C’s highly durable products are applied using OE-standard techniques and are able to withstand ultra-high temperatures. Its durability and aesthetic finish has earned it a fantastic reputation among OE and aftermarket customers, especially for motorcycles where so many vital engine components are on display,” explains Graham.

“This expansion represents Zircotec Group’s commitment to ensuring we deliver the right technology and expertise for every customer,” concludes Graham. “It also clearly demonstrates our ambition to offer continually improving products for the most demanding conditions and for every customer that can benefit from improved thermal management or heat protection.”
