Zac Brown Collective, Indian Motorcycle Collaborate on Custom Chieftain Dark Horse

The custom motorcycle, modified by the innovative team of artists, fabricators and engineers at Zac Brown Collective, will be raffled with all proceeds benefiting Camp Southern Ground.

In a V-Twin powered showcase of American craftsmanship, Indian Motorcycle and Zac Brown Collective announced the reveal of a one-of-a-kind Indian Chieftain Dark Horse. The custom motorcycle, modified by the innovative team of artists, fabricators and engineers at Zac Brown Collective, will be raffled with all proceeds benefiting Camp Southern Ground, the non-profit passion project of Zac Brown, frontman for multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band. During summer, Camp Southern Ground hosts campers for week-long, inclusion based, residential camps. The remainder of the year, the camp provides programs supporting veterans and military families.

Born from the imaginations of talented artisans, and crafted by hand, the Zac Brown Collective Indian Chieftain Dark Horse features a host of one-of-a-kind modifications, including custom 21-in. front and 16-in. rear wheels and custom paint incorporating charcoal flake and 24kt gold leaf with a satin clear coat finish. Additionally, the motorcycle features custom seat and saddle bag liners made with one-off fabric, zircon gold plated engine components and the Indian Motorcycle Thunder Stroke 116 cubic-inch Stage 3 Big Bore kit, which delivers 15% more torque and 20% more horsepower when compared to a stock Thunder Stroke 111 engine.

“Zac Brown Collective embodies American craftmanship much like we do at Indian Motorcycle. Their unique custom creations reflect our passion for craftsmanship of the highest order in terms of both artistry and functionality,” said Reid Wilson, senior director for Indian Motorcycle. “We’re proud to be partnering with Zac Brown for this great cause benefiting Camp Southern Ground and excited to showcase this piece of custom motorcycle art.”

Zac Brown Collective’s in-house custom design company works with wood, metal and leather to design everything from custom cars, motorcycles, and trucks to one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, and more. The team is comprised of skilled carpenters, artists and engineers who use state-of-the-art technology to design and build unique creations. The air brush artists and impressive paint booth provides the opportunity for custom paint designs, like the one seen in the custom Indian Chieftain Dark Horse.

“It’s incredible to be partnering with a brand as iconic and historic as Indian Motorcycle – a group of people that are clearly as passionate about craftsmanship as we are,” said Zac Brown, founder of Zac Brown Collective. “The custom Indian Chieftain Dark Horse is an example that craftsmanship is more than merely a labor of love, but truly an art form. We’re thrilled to channel the power of this incredible motorcycle to benefit Camp Southern Ground.”

Camp Southern Ground serves children ages 7-17, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, races and religions for week-long residential camps with activities that challenge, educate and inspire campers. As an inclusive camp, the non-profit organization brings together typically developing children, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning and attention issues such as ADHD and Dyslexia, and social or emotional challenges. The organization also supports and includes underserved youth and children of military families, which comprises a vital part of their camper population.
