The WPS sales meeting once again took place in beautiful downtown Boise, Idaho in the Qwest Arena and adjacent Boise Centre on the Grove Aug. 8-12. The five-day sales meeting was attended by over 120 WPS reps and managers.
On Monday, house brand break-out sessions highlighted WPS Products/FLY hard parts, FLY Racing off-road, FLY Street/Snow, and Shinko and Sedona tires. A break-out session was dedicated to marketing and IT support topics, including the importance of social media and training on the use of the Apple iPad as a sales rep tool.
On Tuesday, nine snowmobile product vendors, eight ATV/UTV vendors and one motorcycle vendor, Freedom Performance, showcased their wares. Highlights included the new 2012 HMK snow clothing, the new Cycle Country Drive-in Exchange plow system and the addition of Rigid Industries as a WPS vendor.
Wednesday through Friday, 42 motorcycle vendors showed off their product lines. Reps got to see new models of Drayko riding jeans, the new Michelin Commander II cruiser tire to be in dealerships in early 2012 and many new Spidi items.
Thursday saw the launch of the new Shinko Smokebomb tire. This bold new tire produces colored smoke and will be available late fall 2011.
On Thursday, 50 WPS and outside vendor personnel hit the links for a golf outing, and many of those who left their plaid pants at home opted to take a river float through the center of Boise.
Friday evening saw the event’s conclusion with the WPS awards banquet at the Stueckle Sky Center at Boise State University with 200 in attendance.
