For over 58 years, Western Power Sports has delivered products to the powersports industry through its regional warehouse network based in Idaho, California, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Texas. WPS is highlighting the accomplishments and roles of their employees who work with several of the company’s featured brands, more than 130,000 products and over 10,000 dealers worldwide.
Matt Baisley, Alpinestars brand sales manager
Baisley has worked at Western Power Sports for over 12 years as part of the inside sales team. With an in-depth knowledge of Western Power Sports operations, expertise working with dealers on selling products and working many expo shows, Baisley has accepted the role as Alpinestars brand sales manager to give dealers an extra edge on selling Alpinestars boots, helmets, protection and gloves. He looks forward to this new role and working closely with WPS Sales reps and dealers all around the country. In his spare time, Matt races BMX at a national level across the country and recently ranked No. 3 in the nation for his class.
Anne Yanagi, packaging and display coordinator
Coming from the design and branding world, Yanagi brings her unique perspective and over 25 years of print production experience with an emphasis and expertise in specialty consumer product packaging having worked with many national recognized brands such as Nestlé, Clorox, Coca-Cola, Lego and many others. With the wide-range of products and brands in the WPS portfolio, Yanagi’s addition to the WPS product team provides a cutting-edge point of view and leadership in optimizing packaging solutions to improve the customer and dealer experience at the retail level.
Matt Francis, videographer
With over a decade of experience in the power sports industry, Francis has filmed videos with the top riders and brands across the globe including Honda, KTM, Suzuki, Dunlop Tires, Red Bull, Puma and many more. With a focus on improving both internal and external video content for Western Power Sports, Francis is a welcomed addition to Western Power Sports’ growing video production department. In his spare time, Francis focuses on spending time with his family of a wife, two young daughters and two golden retrievers.
Jon Ellingson, metric outside sales representative
With nearly 30 years in the powersports industry, Ellingson got his start by graduating from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in the early 1990s where he worked in dealerships as a tech. Eventually, Ellingson ran his own independent shop for ten years before becoming a sales rep. His experience and knowledge of the industry alongside his love of hunting and outdoors makes Ellingson the perfect sales rep for the Montana and Wyoming area.
