The Kurt Caselli Foundation is holding a screening of Why We Ride at Doffo Winery in Temecula, CA this Saturday as part of a fundraiser to help the foundation promote safety awareness and practices in motorcycle racing. The screening will take place in the barrel room of the winery, amidst the same MotoDoffo collection of racing and vintage motorcycles that is featured in the film.
“We are humbled to be a part of this event to raise awareness for such a worthy cause,” said Why We Ride Producer James Walker. “When the Doffo family approached us be involved in this fundraiser we were happy to help support the Kurt Caselli Foundation and their mission to improve rider safety.” said Producer / Director Bryan H. Carroll.
The Kurt Caselli Foundation was established after the untimely death of celebrated off-road racer Kurt Caselli during the Baja 1000 in 2013. The foundation is committed to reducing the risks faced by motorcycle racers through the education of both riders and race organizers about the inherent dangers of the sport and the best ways to manage those risks. By creating a new standard of safety for racers at all stages of their careers, the foundation aims to give racers the tools to protect themselves and their families. See www.kurtcaselli.com for more information about the foundation and its goals, or to make a donation.
In addition to the winery, Doffo is also known for its extensive collection of over 100 vintage motorcycles. The Doffo family will be opening this collection to attendees of the Caselli benefit, sharing their passion for motorcycling history. Visit www.motodoffo.com for a preview of the bikes that will be on display.
In addition to screening the film, Why We Ride Producer/Director Bryan H. Carroll will be in attendance along with some of the stars of the film. The event is Saturay, May 31st and begins at 10:00am.
