What type of motorcycle did you buy? I bought a Ducati Monster 1100S
Is this your first bike?
I have had all kinds of bikes. My last bike was a Suzuki DRZ400 Dualsport.
Why did you choose this model?
Initially, I was interested in Ducati’s 1198 Superbike because of the performance and styling, but the seating position was too aggressive for me.
While I was at the dealership, they had a demo Monster, and the salesperson convinced me to take it for a test ride. I was gone for a half hour and didn’t want to come back. The Monster is a very unique bike. It is very light for a 1100cc bike and has a very flat torque curve, lots of torque from low RPMs.
I was concerned about its relatively low horsepower, but compared to other high performance bikes, you don’t have to race up the RPMs to hit peak performance, which makes ripping around town much safer. I have always loved the look and sound of Ducati, but after the test ride, I was sold.
This particular Ducati is perfect for the type of riding that I do, which is usually short (under 50 mile) rides. It handles like a much smaller bike, and it is fast enough without the fear of the bike getting away from you. Aside from all of the technical things I like about the bike, in the five months I have owned it, I have only seen one other Monster on the road, which is very cool.

I purchased my bike at TT Motorcycles in Clinton Township, Mich.
How did you choose the dealership?
I drive by the dealership all the time, and they park bikes outside by the street, which made it very hard not to stop and take a look.
Have you been back to the dealership for any service or bought any accessories?
The dealer gave me a helmet, and I bought some shoes, hats and shirts, and I bought my wife a jacket and jeans. I have had one service issue since I bought the bike five months ago. It was missing an adjustment screw on the front brake handle. I stopped in, and they found one and put it on in minutes.
How was your sales experience?
The dealership experience and customer service I received from TT Motorcycles definitely contributed to me purchasing a bike from them. The staff are very knowledgeable and are truly excited about the bikes they sell.
