Triumph Motorcycles and Jason DiSalvo continue to build on their relationship with the British motorcycle manufacturer’s presenting sponsorship of the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy. The two have worked together before with DiSalvo riding for Triumph’s former World Supersport team and currently piloting Latus Motors Racing’s AMA Daytona Sportbike entry.
“As much as I enjoy racing, I love to help others improve their riding abilities,” said DiSalvo. “We created the Speed Academy to help riders raise their game at the track, and with Triumph’s re-emergence into racing this partnership was a natural fit for both of us.”
The Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy combines classroom activities and on-track sessions to teach the same techniques professional road racers use to become smarter, faster and safer riders. Sessions are designed to improve each rider’s knowledge and awareness of bike setup, how to give feedback to trained Öhlins technicians after on-track sessions, and translate that feedback into suspension settings that deliver faster lap times with more confidence.
As one of the lead instructors, DiSalvo will ride on-track aboard his Triumph Daytona 675R with his students to show racing lines and observe, giving a unique perspective that only an on-track experience can provide. GoPro cameras are mounted to motorcycles and rider helmets throughout the sessions to show students what they look like at speed for an unparalleled perspective of their performance.
The Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy hosts events at Barber Motorsports Park and Talladega Gran Prix Raceway, Jennings GP, Gingerman Raceway, Grattan Raceway, Road Atlanta and Road America.
