Touratech Suspension Releases Next Generation of Electronic Suspension with Plug & Travel EVO

In honor of the 10-year anniversary of Plug & Travel, Touratech released this next-generation suspension.

In 2013, Touratech launched the Plug & Travel suspension system as the world’s first high-quality replacement shock for the electronic suspension on the BMW Boxer GS. The company is celebrating this 10-year anniversary with the release of its next-generation of electronic suspension. The experience gained from millions of miles ridden have been incorporated into the completely redesigned Plug & Travel EVO series. The result is a new suspension system with revolutionary technical innovations that provide riders with a greater range of adjustment, better damping performance and dramatically improved comfort on water-cooled Boxer GS motorcycles. Developed in a years-long collaboration between the suspension team at Touratech and renowned suspension producers JRZ and Eibach, the Plug & Travel EVO series is now available.

The new technology includes a HyperFlow damper piston that is engineered to suppress foaming and cavitation, which ensures consistent damping for predictable and stable performance no matter how tough the terrain gets. This combined with the newly developed electromagnetic valve that responds quickly to changes on the ground provides a planted feel and enhanced sense of control for the rider.

The engineering feat of auto-leveling suspension is one of the best innovations in the last decade. While this feature has thrown some aftermarket suspension for a loop, the Plug & Travel EVO has been specifically developed to not only accommodate it but actually enhance the auto-leveling performance of BMW motorcycles.

The EVO rear shock also has a power-house pre-load adjuster that improves performance with lightning-fast action and bullet proof reliability.

“The EVO has true plug & play integration with the electronic systems on the BMW R12/1250GS/A motorcycles. The dynamic suspension features and ride modes work in a seamless fashion with these shocks. The settings work as intended, but with a higher quality shock, state-of-the-art technology and a much broader range of adjustment. It has spectacular performance that simply must be ridden to be appreciated,” said Paul Guillien, CEO, Touratech-USA.

RT Exhaust

Sawicki Speed has introduced the “RT” line of exhaust systems for Harley-Davidsons and Indian Motorcycles.

Royal-T Racing founder Patrick Tilbury made a name for himself as lead fabricator for Jesse James’s Austin Speed Shop. His love for motorcycle racing and desire to blend performance with aesthetics led to the pie-cut welded muffler and CNC’d end cap that Royal-T became famous for. Sawicki Speed’s parent company, Proto Titan, was already manufacturing the final rounds of exhausts for Royal-T when they made the bold choice to acquire the design rights and include it in Sawicki Speed's lineup of performance exhaust offerings.
