Tony Hawk and Roland Sands Design (RSD) recently joined forces to build a unique custom motorcycle machine for Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks Foundation. Triumph provided a 2011 Scrambler 900 for the build. RSD re-worked the bike to feature a number of upgrades to boost the performance and give the machine a unique aesthetic, worthy of the Hawk brand.
The rear fender was trimmed and shaved by RSD and stock turn signals and brake lights were dumped for sleeker units. RSD used its side mount license plate bracket and LED taillight then fabricated a rear grab bar that doubles as a mount for the rear turn signals. The front turn signal mount was another hand crafted unit custom made by RSD just for this project. Many other aftermarket parts were donated to the project as well.
The bike was then auctioned off at a Stand Up For Skateparks event in Beverly Hills on Oct. 2 garnering $32,500 for the cause.
