The AIM Expo Narrows Search of Potential Host Cities

Starting with an initial list of more than 10 cities, the search for the ideal venue for the American International Motorcycle Expo, set for Fall 2013, has been pared to two locations, according to show promoters. The efforts of searching for a location by the Marketplace Events team will soon payoff in an announcement in the weeks ahead.

“The search has taken us far and wide in our mission of finding the perfect destination for AIME, and it’s become a ‘Tale of Two Cities’” said Larry Little, vice president and general manager, Motorcycle Group. “AIME’s aspiration is to become the single-most-important show of its kind in North America, with industry, press, retailers, and consumers in one place at one time, so an ideal location is one of our highest priorities."

Since hosting over 300 members of the motorcycle industry in Indianapolis just over a month ago, the industry has been eagerly awaiting the expo’s next big announcement.

Mike Webster, president, trade show division of Marketplace Events, drawing on his 30 years of trade- and consumer- show production, added: “A great venue needs to have a welcoming climate for retailers, and be accessible and motorcycle-friendly to a large base of motorcycle consumers, while offering the best overall cost efficiencies for exhibitors.”

In the days leading up to the announcement, AIME will offer hints and sneak peeks as to which city and venue will serve as the home of the show in Fall 2013. You can follow the latest news by visiting the expo’s social media pages on Facebook, @AIMExpo on Twitter, or www.marketplaceevents.com.
