Triumph Motorcycles and Jason DiSalvo continue to build on their relationship with the British motorcycle manufacturer’s presenting sponsorship of the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy. The two have worked together before with DiSalvo riding for Triumph’s former World Supersport team and currently piloting Latus Motors Racing’s AMA Daytona Sportbike entry.

Audi Comes to Terms on Ducati Purchase

Audi, a division of VW, has agreed to buy Italian motorcycle maker Ducati, according to reports. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer will be added to the German automaker’s large portfolio of passenger cars, trucks and ultra-luxury vehicles.

Ducati North America Continues Growth Spurt in First Quarter

Ducati North America has announced its seventh consecutive quarter of sales growth, beginning 2012 with a 10.2% Q1 retail sales increase. North America remains Ducati’s largest global market. The Ducati line of apparel and accessories also recorded significant growth with over a 98% Q1 increase.

Lehman Suspends Operations at Spearfish Facility

Lehman Trikes, Inc. (LTI) recently released a statement say that it has decided to suspend operations. The suspension went into effect March 9. The company has not been able to complete the proposed sale it was working on, but is continuing to pursue possible transactions to inject capital into the company.

Piaggio Group Unveils Three New Models at Dealer Meeting

Italian manufacturer Piaggio Group, represented in the U.S. by its subsidiary Piaggio Group Americas (PGA), recently introduced three new models to the North American market – the Aprilia Tuono V4 naked sportbike, the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX sport tourer and the Piaggio BV 350 maxi scooter. All three new models will arrive at dealerships later this spring.
