After record sales in the EU, SW-MOTECH’s third and latest generation PRO ring is coming to North America. The new system combines the strength of a locking mechanical attachment with patented magnet technology that makes the ring even easier to use. Along with the tank ring system, the PRO series includes a whole new lineup of bags with major functional and aesthetic improvements.
The PRO Ring System
The PRO tank ring system works with small but powerful magnets that guide the bag into place for the mechanical spring mechanism to snap shut with a satisfying and reassuring click. The tank bag is now securely attached to the motorcycle with one fluid movement. The PRO ring offers the same strength and stability as previous rings suitable for high speeds on the highway or rough off-road use because it uses the same mechanical locking system to stay in place.
The PRO tank ring combines these two ingenious technologies into a fully developed system that continues to meet the requirements every SW-MOTECH tank ring should have:
- It mounts discreetly to the motorcycle without protruding.
- Has a flexible mounting position to provide clearance for bars and controls.

- Maintains a simple refueling process for the rider.
The PRO tank ring combines the innovative power of two German companies: The locking mechanism of the SW-MOTECH tank rings, which has been tried and tested for many years, can now be operated even more easily thanks to the magnetic guidance assistance from Fidlock technology.
The PRO Bags
The PRO tank bags have been continuously developed based on feedback and suggestions from customers. Many have requested larger outer pockets, and so the new tank bag line offers larger and wider opening outer pockets for even more flexible packing.
Significant improvements to how the upper ring is positioned have also been made. The upper ring is pre- assembled on the tank bag along a guide rail, eliminating the need for any drilling or measuring. This also allows a rider to adjust the position of the bag on the bike as needed, such as when switching to another motorcycle.
The PRO Generation of Bags – Simply Better
The new generation of tank bags offer elegant and timeless design in conjunction with durable materials and sophisticated product features: Ballistic nylon material protects the luggage against shock, wind and weather. On the top, a laminated EVA material has been added. This retains the bags’ distinctive shape and, in conjunction with a MOLLE attachment, ensures a secure fit for the new smartphone and tablet T-LOCK mounts.
The new, factory-fitted upper ring guide rail allows for an easier adjustment of the tank bag to the shape of the tank and the ergonomic needs of the rider. Only the PRO tank bags offer this flexibility. The PRO tank bag series is also available as a strap attachment model and as a magnetic version for steel tanks. With nine different options, there’s a tank bag that’s right for every rider or type of trip.
