Suzuki RM-Z Sales Up 21 Percent for 2013

The 50th Anniversary RM-Z Sales Event, which has been extended through August, offers customers zero-percent financing plus their choice of Yoshimura exhausts or $600 Customer Cash back. Sales of the bikes are up 13 percent for May, compared to 2012 sales.

Suzuki Motor of America Inc. (SMAI) reports that consumers are taking advantage of a generous retail promotion around the company’s RM-Z motorcycles. Sales are up 13 percent for May, and 21 percent for the year, compared to 2012 sales (reported by American Suzuki Motor Corp.).

“The 50th Anniversary RM-Z Sales Event gave consumers Suzuki’s industry leading zero-percent financing (covering all regular finance tiers) plus their choice of Yoshimura exhausts (including Yoshimura accessories), or $600 Customer Cash back on the purchase of any new 2013/2012 RM-Z450 or RM-Z250,” said Rod Lopusnak, general manager – national sales for SMAI. “Take the champion approved motorcycles, support them with great financing, pro-level amateur dealer support and offer bonuses for successful amateur and pro racers, and sales are bound to be strong. That’s why we decided to extend this RM-Z Sales Event through August, expanding opportunities for dealers and customers.”

Recently, Suzuki launched a similar program for its world class performance sportbikes, including the popular Hayabusa and GSX-R motorcycles. The new “50 Years of Performance” sales event runs until Aug. 31, 2013, and pairs Suzuki’s zero-percent financing (covering all regular finance tiers) with the buyer’s choice of a Yoshimura slip-on exhaust muffler or Customer Cash.

Beginning now, Suzuki dealers nationwide are receiving several of the brand’s new scooters and motorcycles, including the redesigned-for-2013 Burgman 650 and the sporty SFV650. These new models, as well as Suzuki’s line of class-leading KingQuad ATVs, are available at zero-percent financing.

Suzuki continues to engage powersports enthusiasts nationwide with its ongoing “50 Years Strong” anniversary event, which celebrates the manufacturer’s half-century in America and encourages consumers to connect with the brand and visit a Suzuki dealer. A “50 Years of You” sweepstakes contes invites Suzuki fans to visit dealers and to share their own stories of Suzuki motorcycle and ATV ownership through the company’s website and social media communities. A new contest each month gives any powersports fan – not just current Suzuki owners – a chance to win prizes ranging from accessories to new motorcycles, like this month’s prize of the Suzuki Boulevard C90T B.O.S.S.
