After one month in operation, the new Suzuki Motor of America Inc. (SMAI) reports strong wholesale and retail sales data. Combined motorcycle, ATV and scooter sales to Suzuki dealers are up 68 percent for April compared to last year’s sales (reported by American Suzuki Motor Corp.).
SMAI reports that RM-Z motocross bikes are sold out and the remaining dealer inventory is moving fast. The company says that the popularity of the motocross bikes, coupled with zero-percent retail financing and the Yoshimura exhaust sales promotion, have driven record sales. Demand also remains high for Suzuki DualSport and off-road motorcycles, with the DR650SE and DR-Z400SM bikes leading the way.
With new Suzuki motorcycles arriving at dealers throughout May and June, the company expects robust sales to continue.
“Riding season is upon us, and Suzuki dealers are eager to show these compelling new products that will satisfy a variety of motorcycling interests,” said Rod Lopusnak, general manager – national sales MC/ATV Division.
