AMA Pro Racing and Sunoco have announced their renewed partnership for the 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track season. This relationship allows for the continuation of the Sunoco “Go the Distance Award” for both Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance & Hines and GNC2 classes, as well as increased support for the FansChoice.tv live streaming broadcasts.

Returning for an eighth season as the Official Fuel for AMA Pro Flat Track, Sunoco Supreme 112 octane fuel will be the exclusive fuel for the world’s premier dirt track motorcycle racing series. The high quality and consistent fuel assists riders in reaching their mark in competing for the championship week in and week out.

“We’d like to thank Sunoco for their continued support of the AMA Pro Flat Track paddock,” said Michael Lock, CEO of AMA Pro Racing. “Sunoco has a well-respected name in the racing community and we’re proud to have them as a partner.”

The Sunoco “Go the Distance Award” will be presented to the top three finishers in both Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance & Hines and GNC2 classes who have accumulated the most mileage during competition sessions over the course of the 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track season. A total of $15,000 will be distributed at the year-end awards banquet to the winning riders.

“The most important aspect in creating this award is to have riders compete in all scheduled events,” said Rob Marro, Vice President and General Manager of Performance Products for Sunoco. “We are excited to be able to partner with AMA Pro Racing and the Flat Track riders because the passion they have for their sport is consistent with our commitment to maintaining the highest quality fuels for motorsports.”

Along with continuing the “Go the Distance Award,” Sunoco also aims to extend the brand’s reach into the AMA Pro Flat Track community through exposure on the FansChoice.tv broadcast platform.

“We have enhanced our broadcasting exposure in grassroot sports because it will show the professional motorcycle riders and loyal fans that we are committed to Flat Track racing,” Marro said.
