The Hornet X2 features a multi-ply Matrix AIM+ shell construction with a light and stronger shell design; compact and aerodynamic. Four shell sizes ensure ideal fit, and a dual-layer multi-density EPS liner accommodates more compact design without compromising ventilation.
The helmet’s CNS-2 shield system is an injection-molded shield that offers a distortion-free view. Innovative ribs on the top edge of the shield improve rigidity when opening and closing. A QR-N base plate system offers quick and efficient shield removal without having to remove visor.
The 3D Max-Dry System II interior features center pad components that are 3D-shaped to match the contours of the rider’s head, allowing comfortable fit while maintaining firm hold for high speed riding. 3D-shaped cheek pads are available in multiple thicknesses for custom fit. Max-Dry System II liner material quickly absorbs and dissipates sweat and moisture. E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick-Release System) allows emergency personnel to easily remove cheek pads from injured rider’s helmet.
An all-new V-460 visor is the result of many hours in Shoei’s wind tunnel and features innovative wedge shape with strategically placed vent louvers that allow wind to pass through unobstructed at high speed. The helmet’s ventilation comes from a large, multi-position lower air intake/defroster, two shutter-controlled upper air vents, four uniquely positioned rear exhaust outlets, and three neck outlet vents.
