Ryan Dungey Takes Home ESPY Award

Ryan Dungey took home the ESPY Award for the Best Action Sport Athlete in last night’s 23rd annual ESPY awards that honor sporting standouts each year. The Supercross champ beat rivals such as FMX legend Josh Sheheen plus stars of skateboarding, snowboarding and snowcross racing.

“Wow! Just found out I won the ESPY! It’s a very exciting day for the sport of motocross and supercross and how far we have come to achieve this award!” said Dungey on his Instagram page. “Without a doubt wouldn’t have been possible with out my wife and family, friends, sponsors and most importantly fans. Thank you all for you support, love, and votes, and everyone who had a part in making this dream come true. So very thankful and blessed.”

In the women’s category, Women’s Trials champ, Laia Sainz, came in just behind snowboarder Kelly Clark.
