RK Excel America Hires New Sales Manager

Robbi Roberts, a former motorcycle dealership owner in Indiana has been officially named as Sales Manager for RK Excel America Inc. in Oceanside, Calif. Roberts complements RK Excel America’s management staff by adding over 12 years of experience within the motorcycle industry.

Roberts has raced motocross, supermoto and roadrace since 1972 and earned an AMA CCS Championship in 2009.

“We are honored to add such a skilled professional with Robbi’s experience to the RK Excel America team,” commented RK Excel America’s President Frank Miyake. “Robbi is very familiar with dealership operations as he was himself an owner of a dealership for over ten years. Robbi’s passion for the motorcycle industry along with his real world dealer experience is exactly what RK Excel America needs to further develop and implement our future business plans.”

The boards of the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA), and the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA) voted unanimously to appoint Scott Schloegel as acting president and CEO of the associations. Diana Sanchez was appointed acting chief operating officer.

Schloegel and Sanchez, whose appointments are effective immediately, will also continue to serve in their current roles as senior vice president of government relations and vice president of operations respectively. The interim leadership was selected to ensure a seamless transition as the associations’ search committee continues to conduct a comprehensive review of the position of president and CEO, and a subsequent search to replace outgoing President and CEO Erik Pritchard.
