REVER, the world’s largest powersports ride-planning, tracking and sharing app, announced the launch of Snow! No, they can’t make it snow, but they have added multiple features and even a special snow-machine-oriented challenge for our users to get the most out of the app during those months when the earth is blanketed in the white stuff.
Snow-friendly features include:
FOX Chris Burandt iQS Challenge
Do you think you ride your snowmobile or snowbike a lot? Then prove it. Join the FOX Chris Burandt iQS Challenge and log as many hour-plus, snow-machine rides this winter as possible (between Jan. 17 and Feb. 29) and see how high you can climb up the leaderboard. Random weekly winners will be selected from the leaderboard and awarded swag bags from FOX and KLIM.
At the conclusion of the Challenge, the rider with the most rides (that meet the spirit of the rules) will be awarded a set of FOX Chris Burandt iQS snowmobile shocks ($3,995 value!), second place will receive a $1500 KLIM gift card, while third place will be able to order a custom sled wrap from ArcticFX. See complete rules for details.
KLIM 3D-Flyover Animation
If you haven’t seen REVER’s 3D-Flyover animation, you are missing out, as it’s really cool. This REVER PRO feature is available for FREE, courtesy of KLIM, for users who mark their ride-surface type as Snow. Users will be able to explore a static 3D rendering of the route by zooming and panning, view any tracked, planned or Discover ride (surface marked as Snow) through a virtual-animation video in either 15- or 30-second lengths, and record the 3D Flyover to share as a video through email, message, and social-media platforms.
Snow Surface Type Added
As requested by sledheads, and snowbike riders, we’ve added Snow as a surface type to distinguish those activities from the existing powersports ride types, such as Dirt, Mixed, or Paved.
Snow Machines Added to Garage
You can now add snowmobiles to your garage in the Profile section of the app including the year, make and model. Brands like Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha include the most up-to-date model list available.
“Living in the heart of the Colorado Rockies means that once winter hits, we park the motorcycles and bust out our snowmobiles,” said REVER’s Co-Founder and CEO Mark Roebke. “So it made perfect sense to equip the REVER app with features that our users and ourselves could use during those chilly months when we hit the backcountry on sleds and snowbikes.”
