Marketplace Events (MPE), on the heels of announcing Larry Little as vice president and general manager, has revealed plans to develop the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIME).

The event is set to take place in Fall 2013, with the purpose to serve as the catalyst to bring together the entire two-wheel industry in a single arena that creates a grand stage for motorcycling in the U.S. and North America, while delivering an efficient and energetic market-timed expo platform for B2B and B2C in the motorcycle industry.

During the announcement, MPE CEO Tom Baugh provided a background on previous expos under his leadership – highlighted by home shows in 21 major markets. He said the company is perfectly positioned to provide a solid foundation for the new AIME venture.

AIME will be timed to align with the annual reveal of new motorcycles, aftermarket products, safety equipment and accessories to the press, motorcycle dealers and consumers. It is intended to create a greater efficiency for the industry to conduct business with retailers, promote new product to the press and consumers, while creating a heightened interest for motorcycling as both sport and as a viable, green transportation alternative.

According to MPE, the American International Motorcycle Expo will be the most important show of its type in the North American market and will have international impact within the motorcycling community.
