NPA Kickstarts 2023 with a Lakeland Grand Opening on Jan. 25

Get your motors running! National Powersport Auctions (NPA) is starting 2023 off with a bang with its NPA Lakeland grand opening event. On Wednesday, Jan. 25, NPA will celebrate its latest expansion in Florida with the grand opening of its brand-new 142,000 square-foot Lakeland facility. The grand opening auction is the next day, Thursday, Jan. 26.

Festivities will commence at noon with a catered lunch and warehouse tours. A special NPA dealer education event will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. to report on the industry and give tips to powersports dealers on the auction process and maximizing pre-owned inventory profits. The fun will continue afterward with yard games, prizes, a barbecue dinner, music and dancing. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place the following day, Jan. 26, at 8:45 a.m. before the NPA Lakeland auction at 9 a.m.

Powersports dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, financial service providers and media organizations are invited to RSVP by Friday, Jan. 20, to attend the NPA Lakeland grand opening online at www.npauctions.com/cp/npa-florida.

“The investment we made in our new, ground-up facility in Lakeland reinforces NPA as the place for dealers in the Florida region to buy and sell their pre-owned inventory throughout NPA’s nationwide network. We’re very excited about this coming year,” said CEO Jim Woodruff.

The larger Florida operation paves the way for NPA to continue expanding its growing RV and marine remarketing business. The new NPA Lakeland building is twice as big as the former location, plus it has over 10 acres of outdoor storage and a massive, fully equipped boat and RV wash and inspection bay.

“We have a ton of inventory slated for the grand opening Lakeland auction on Jan. 26, including a record number of boats,” commented NPA Vice President of RV and Marine Matt Amata. All inventory can be seen online at www.npauctions.com and in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the day before the auction.

At the finale of the inaugural SuperMotocross Playoffs, held at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Team Honda HRC put an exclamation point on what was already an incredibly successful season, with Jett Lawrence taking home the first-ever SuperMotocross 450 Championship and earning the $1 million prize. The squad had already swept every professional AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross title that had traditionally been available, with riders Chase Sexton, Jett Lawrence and Hunter Lawrence collecting the crowns in 450SX, 250SX East, 250SX West, 450MX and 250MX. For 2023 however, organizers added the three-round SuperMotocross Playoffs, which represented an opportunity for Honda's factory race team to accumulate even more laurels.
