National Powersport Auctions (NPA), has introduced its latest in a long line of innovative services for dealers — NPA PowerNews. Launched as a quarterly publication, the goal is to answer the fundamental question many dealers have regarding the pre-owned market: "What’s in it for me?"

“As an industry leader, we believe we have a responsibility to answer this question," explains Jim Woodruff, NPA’s chief operating officer. "We sincerely believe in being a better business partner for the dealers and publishing the newsletter is one piece of the puzzle. Ultimately if dealers are successful, we are successful. We recognize the fact that NPA plays a significant role in the growth and profitability of all our dealer customers, and we are committed to providing them with the inventory, tools and first-class service they need to be successful.”

The goal of NPA PowerNews is to be an educational and informative resource for the powersports industry offering a variety of current trends and topics, "PowerProfiles" of successful dealerships, partner focus pieces on leading finance and dealer service companies, and OEM insights. In a blast from the past, the first cover story features NPA founder/CEO Cliff Clifford’s encyclopedic knowledge to help break down the evolution of the pre-owned market. Longtime dealers may remember some of the greatest moments in the industry, such as the CPSC ban on three-wheelers in 1988 and the subsequent explosion of the ATV market, the personal watercraft boom and the decade of double-digit growth in new motorcycle sales.

"Knowledge is power… and knowing where we have been can be a powerful tool in deciding where we are going as an industry," concludes Woodruff. The new newsletter is just the latest tool to help dealers maximize their pre-owned business. The first issue is out now and interested dealers should visit www.npauctions.com for the online version.
