Namura Technologies Inc. has announced the implementation of a Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) policy for its piston and gasket product line.

“Namura has not, and will not, sell retail direct,” said Levi Hentges, Namura Technologies Director of Sales & Marketing. “We have always supported the Distributor-Dealer Network and in an effort of continued support we felt it was necessary to implement a MAP policy to strengthen the brand and value proposition for our dealers, regardless of their size.”

The brand-wide MAP policy is being implemented unilaterally and applies to all US-Based distributors and retailers (including traditional brick, catalog and online retailers). The policy is only applied to advertised pricing and does not institute a maximum advertised price, however it does limit resellers to no more than a 10 percent markdown from standard MSRP pricing. Implemented July 1, resellers have a grace period until August 14 to fully comply with the new policy.
