New products, a new look and a new catalog commemorating this milestone kick off a yearlong celebration from the venerable seat manufacturer. Despite the new look expect the old-fashioned values of quality, comfort and customer satisfaction to continue.

“This year marks Mustang’s 35th Anniversary, so we decided to commemorate the occasion in style,” says Mustang Seats Marketing Director Marilyn Simmons. “Mustang has been handcrafting superior seats in our historic New England factory since 1980, so we really want to spread our wings this year, as it were.” According to company folklore, the name comes from the legendary P-51 Mustang fighter plane, so that became the thematic element for the anniversary edition catalog, the ads and soon to be revamped website.

Historically Mustang has been synonymous with comfortable seats for Harley-Davidson, Victory and Metric cruisers. “Not only have new seat styles been introduced, but brands like BMW, Indian and Triumph have been brought into the mix. Mustang now has everything from the RunAround to its new top of the line touring seat for the Harley Rushmore models, the Summit.”

Dealers can expect to see the new catalog taking flight at the V-Twin Expo Booth #374 on February 7th.

“All of our products are more than replacement seats — they are upgrades to your riding experience,” explains Simmons. “In the past 35 years Mustang has grown from a small operation making just a dozen seats a day, to now being a worldwide leader in the design and construction of motorcycle seats. We have gathered feedback from thousands of motorcycle riders and incorporated our own years of experience with the latest CAD-CAM technology to develop our unique understanding of what riders need, and the essentials of seat design to address these needs.”

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is honoring the golden anniversary of its iconic Jet Ski personal watercraft (PWC) products with the 50 years of exhilaration celebration.

When the original Jet Ski watercraft debuted in 1973, it created a whole new lifestyle of having fun on the water. What began with a liquid-cooled, 400cc two-stroke twin engine; pivoting handlepole system; and ability to slice turns and skim over waves has evolved to a supercharged, 1,498cc inline four-stroke marine engine. Despite the technological evolutions, the soul of a Jet Ski remains recreating the feeling of riding a motorcycle on the water.
